Mexican Riviera Cruise- Formal Night #1

We just got back from a cruise celebrating our 1st anniversary.  You can read about it on our date blog all this week if you so desire.  I was terrible about taking fashion pictures, so don't mind my awkward cropping for a couple days please!
I'd like to thank Downeast Basics for always pulling through with dresses and skirts that hit the knees and have sleeves when I need them!  I scored this vintage-inspired baby for only $10!

A Date to the Theater

I never tire of the musical Wicked.  It was my 4th time, and I loved it just as much as the first!  This was my theater date outfit.

You can't find a formal when you need one

I read somewhere, I think in Lucky's Guide to Style, that you should buy a formal you love when you see one, even if you think you'll never use it. I bought one 2 years ago and found myself seeing Wicked with a dressed up crew the next weekend. I found this dress at Downeast Basics for $10 and figured why not, another formal event may occur. It took 2 months, but a formal family dinner party was held, and I was glad I was prepared! Thank you Lucky!

Feeling Tribal

I found this dress for about $11 at Target and thought 'How unique!' It's a little short for works, but leggings seemed to fit with the tribal print. I added some olive green for a hint of color and interest.
