Easter Sunday

I looked pretty hard for a dress this year, and I guess I'm not the only one, because low and behold spring dresses appeared to be non-existent this year! Several stylish women I go to church with were even in black and white or settled for a cute skirt, because apparently Phoenix didn't get the Easter memo this year. I'm sure I'll find some one mega sale in the next month somewhere! At least I found a sweet skirt!

Casual Spring

I went a little more cas at work today. I figure I should enjoy it, I may still be a teacher next year, but I also may be a woman of business(fingers crossed here). I am soaking up the I-can-technically-pull-off-jeans any day thing while I can- You never know!
Shoes: Mall store, $7, Skirt: Banana Republic, $20, Tank: Shade, $5, Shirt: I think Kohls, and I'm sure it was under $10, Jacket: Anthropologie, $20, Watch: Fossil, gifted, Earrings: New York and Co, $3

Bring Back Pastel

It was hot today, like 93 degrees, the long AZ summers are almost here. I enjoyed pulling out my spring related items today. I'm planning on more white than black, and more light than dark. And oh yeah, it's skirt season- which are the best for my curvy body!
Shoes: Gifted, Scarf: Gifted, from Gap, Skirt: Gap Outlet, $9, Shirt: Shade, $12, Earrings, New York and Company, $3, Belt: Aeropostale, I think I paid about $6

LBD

I'll confess, I constantly underestimate my "Little Black Dress." I usually wear it to semi formal events and on the first day of school (it's usually 115 so the suit I would wear won't work). I tried to make it a little more fun with some color. I seriously think we'll be seeing more of this dress since it deserves to quit being underestimated!
Dress: I think Kmart, $20, Necklace: New York and Co, $5, Watch: Fossil, Gifted, Shoes: Famous Footwear, $20, Pink Tights: Merona, $1.50, Black Tights: Candies, $5

Artsy Slick

I cracked open my new issue of Lucky this weekend, and I was loving the artsy summer look described- basically saying to wear skinny jeans with thong-style sandals, and an asymmetrical artsy top. I looked down at myself and thought- good job self- way to predict this one before it was published! I loved when that happens!
Jeans: American Eagle, $20, Thongs: American Eagle, $15, Shirt: Anthropologie, $30, T-shirt: modbe.com, $20, Headband: Custom

Feeling Girly- Bows and Curls

Bows and curls were just what I wanted today! I guess I do trade my menswear business like attire for something more feminine now and then. And yes, it makes my mother's heart sing when I do this.

Admissions Counselor

I'm not an admissions counselor, but I did meet with one today, and this is what I got dressed in to do so. Grad school may have to wait next year since I'm late applying, but I plan to keep dressing the part until it becomes a reality.
