Lazy Saturday

My big grad school test is coming, it's crunch time, so every second of my life I am not at work is spent studying. This Saturday was no exception, and I decided to be a little lazy with my fashion sense because I knew I would be in the books all day. I guess some days you just really don't care, and I was so much in this mentality I didn't even bother to put on a belt or real shoes! My apologies, I am off work for spring break next week, and I promise I will try harder and at least wear a belt!

Sundress

90 earlier this week, 70 later- crazy weather! At least I got to bust out a sundress and some sandals. I guess I forgot- you need a pedicure after winter shoes. Oh well, it's coming soon.

Eastern European Sweater

I had a bad day this week and did what I love to do when I get down- go shopping! I know, bad habit, but nothing seems to make me feel like life is ok like a new pair of shoes!
I went to Anthropologie and found this sweater on sale for $30- what a steal! I live in AZ and knew it may not get a ton of wear since it's getting hot again, but the fit was perfect for my upper body and I somehow I convinced myself that there is a good chance I'll go to grad school somewhere cold next year. I'm happy I bought it, I don't think I'll ever find a better fitting sweater!

Sunny Prep

I swapped my favorite red/blue + neutral combo for, well, the same, only yellow instead of red. It made me feel sunny and ready for spring! I know my legs aren't, I will work on the blinding whiteness!

Pants That Fit!

I finally bought some pants that fit on my trip to LA. I'm not weird about my weight- I never have been, but I have gone down 2 sizes recently, and it's a weird feeling since I was in pretty good shape before. Can a lack of carbs and running a little more than I usually do change you that much? I hope I don't go too much more, I am not a fan of being below a size 6, girls just should have curves! At least I had a good excuse to buy these pants in LA when Anthro had one amazing sale! Plus they are my current fashion favorite color- blue!

Vintage Orange

It's pretty much spring in the Southwest at this point, and I'm trying to hold onto the normal temps for a little longer and get some jacket/sweater wear in before it's too hot. I am also ready for color again! I love this jacket that was thrifted, originally from Banana Republic- but it looks so vintage, it was truly one fantastic find!

Blue and Grey

I have to eat like a diabetic, at least for a while since my insulin is off- I think my mood reflected that when I wore all blue, black, and grey last week. Goodbye carbs and sugar, but hello losing weight! PS, I've already lost some inches due to this forced diet, can you tell I need to get some new clothes? Most of mine just aren't looking as good these days sagging off of me. I always thought it would be great to go down a size or two, but actually it's kind of sad to say goodbye to most of your clothes.

Saying Goodbye to Winter

Nothing keeps me warmer than my fleece turtleneck. I knew I had to give it one more whirl before we are back in the 100's. I added a little New York twist- it seems like funky boots and tights are the staple to winter wardrobes there.

One More From LA

I went to The Villa- a Roman art museum and garden in LA, it was awesome. I had to catch a flight right after, so I did my best to fit in with the swanky artsy crowd while still pulling off a t-shirt and jeans. I did not however, pull off maturity as I posed for this picture.
