In Touch With My Roots
I have a great, great, great, great, great (and maybe even one or two more) grandmother who is Native American. Rumor has it that's where the dark hair come from with a family of all blondes. I like my hair, I like my slightly darker skin, I like that she and her husband broke the cultural norm. This probably explains my obsession with Native American jewelry. I think I was channeling her with the colors, necklace, and the braid today.

My Thrifting Miracle
I've wanted a denim/chambray shirt for a while now, but it has been a popular item and somewhat difficult to find lately. I coveted the GAP 1969 line this summer, particularly the denim shirts. I just couldn't bring myself to pay $60 for a shirt so I passed. It sold out before it was marked down much, and I kept telling myself patience and thrifting would pan out eventually. Then, one magical day I went to get something for my Dolly Parton Halloween costume, and I saw a denim shirt that looked like it just may work. Imagine the joy and me wanting to heel click when I realized it was the Gap 1969 I had wanted IN MY SIZE! It's a thrifting miracle!
And if I wear it a couple days a week please don't judge me too harshly!
Shirt: My Thrifting Miracle, $6, Skirt: Anthro, $20, Belt: Gap, Cardi: AE, Boots: Last Chance, $20
